  Jack Dean

MC and poet Jack Dean was born in Tottenham, raised in the southwest UK, and likes to wander all over the place telling stories of love, loneliness, nostalgia and midget porn.

Jack Dean started rapping in an atrocious punk-rap crossover band aged 15. Since then he's calmed down a bit, got a girlfriend, and carried his love of shouting at strangers to many places, including the Bowery Poetry Club in New York, Latitude Festival, the Radio 4 National Poetry Slam and a male beauty contest in Hackney. Jack takes the hip hop medium he grew up with, goes out with it gets it drunk and pushes it down the high street in a shopping trolley full of fireworks at 4am. Maybe.

Hammer and Tongue Slam Champion, Apples and Snakes featured artist and holder of the highest Pac-Man score of anyone he knows.

With a powerful voice, highly confident, competent and intelligent, he possesses a warmth, and manages to draw his audience into the imaginary visions of his mind, as he pours out one epic poem after another." Life in Petersfield

"Jack proved himself knowledgeable, sensitive, emotional and talented beyond his years and his strong flair for theatre, presentation and beautiful use of language all helped to creatively and humerously pull all kinds of images from the air, never losing his innocence, sincerity or humility. " Petersfield Post
